Hanley’s Heart of Books

Welcome to Hanley’s Heart of Books. In this blog, you will be swept away by the amazing books and talented authors suggested right here! Here in 6th grade we focus on a culture of readers to persuade others that reading can change your life. I am inspired to read sad, scary, comics, and inspirational books because they trap my interest, and I can make connections to my everyday life. I think reading is important because you use your imagination every second of a book. Sometimes you feel like you are trapped in the world you created and you’re gasping at the scene around you. When I read, I feel almost free and light on my feet. I get lost in a book and my brain drains out all my surroundings to focus just on that moment in the book. Reading takes you on a journey to a different world. For example, I was once reading a book and I had such an incredible image in my mind. Then I realized that I had to stop myself and I was in the real world. I think it is important to connect with others through reading and to blog about books! To me, reading a book is your safe place, a home away from home, spark of interest, and your choice of happiness and freedom.
